Send letters, post notes, journal swiftly and often.
And in the meantime, expand your mind and your horizons; read voraciously, read broadly, read well.
We have seen an increased interest in our journals – leather bound, arty spiral, PaperBlanks – as people take up writing and journalling.
To help along the way we have many resources – The Little Red Writing Book, The Little Green Grammar Book, even a rudely-titled book about apostrophes!
For younger writers looking to take up the craft, the Story Writer’s Ideas Journal has been very popular. Young authors are encouraged to write in the book, which has plot ideas, inspiring quotes and writing tips from authors around the world.
And of course, most successful authors are extremely well read. If you are looking for a recommendation, talk to one of the staff – we are here to help.
